GERICS can be reached by underground, line 1, station Meßberg - 1 min walking distance

or by underground (line 1, 2, 3 and S-Bahn), station Hauptbahnhof (central station) - 10 min walking distance or station Mönckebergstr. (line 3) - 5 min walking distance

or by bus (diverse lines), station Mönckebergstraße/Gerhart-Hauptmann-Platz - 5 min walking distance

From Hamburg Airport to the Chilehaus:
At the airport, follow the (green) signs to the S-Bahn railway. Take the S1 direction Hauptbahnhof/Wedel/Blankenese. Get off at "Ohlsdorf" and switch to the U1 (blue) (direction Hauptbahnhof, Farmsen). Get off at "Meßberg" (Exit "Meßberg"). This is located directly in front of the Chilehaus. The entire trip takes 26 minutes. The ticket price is: € 3.80 ("Großbereich")
Alternatively, you can stay in the S1, get off at Hauptbahnhof and have a 10-15 minutes walk to the Chilehaus.
