Keynote Speech at WIMOSA Symposium

During the week of the 31st of October to the 2nd of November the 10th Anniversary of WIOMSA Symposium took place. WIOMSA is the leading marine scientific association for countries in the West Indian Ocean.

Keynote speech of Maria Manez

María Máñez was invited to give an inaugural Keynote on the use of Climate Services for decision making processes in coastal and marine environments. She provided information in the functioning of GERICS and in the use of science-based services approaches when developing climate services. Her talk also positioned very strong the need of including the users of science in the co-development of end-products and services. The meeting was very important for establishing stronger links between the marine and coastal research and climate research.
