Impactsworld2017

The Impactsworld2017 three-day conference from October 11 – October 13 in Potsdam, Germany, was dedicated to counting the costs of climate change, by considering four key challenges: economics, migration, health, SDGs. There were plenary talks about state of the state-of-the-art in climate-impact research and breakout sessions, both organized by the Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research (PIK).

GERICS participated and contributed by a poster on the role of Climate Services in supporting Ecosystem Services in securing Sustainable Development Goals. This contribution illustrated how decision makers can be supported in their efforts to adapt the management of ecosystems to climate change.
