General Assembly 2019 of the European Geosciences Union (EGU)
GERICS participated with talks and in poster sessions
The General Assembly 2019 of the European Geosciences Union (EGU) washeld from 7–12 April 2019 at the Austria CenterVienna (ACV) in Vienna, Austria. The assembly was open to the scientists of all nations and during the conference, and more than 16.000 scientists from 113 countries attended.
Two GERICS scientists presented their studies during the regional climate modelling including CORDEX session. Armelle Remedio presented her study on the regional climate simulations using REMO over ten domains in the WCRP Initiative on CORDEX Coordinated Regional Evaluation (CORE). Torsten Weber presented the added value of simulating rainfall characteristics over Africa with a regionally coupled atmosphere-ocean model.
The next EGU General Assembly 2020 will be from 3–8 May 2020, Vienna, Austria.
