WCRP Open Science Conference 2023 in Kigali/Ruanda: "Advancing Climate Science for a Sustainable Future"
International research conference considers accelerating pace of climate change
From 23-27 October 2023, the Open Science Conference of the World Climate Research Programme (WCRP) will take place in Kigali / Rwanda. This international research conference, which takes place only once this decade, will discuss changes in the Earth's climate system that will reverberate for centuries and even millennia, and which are already having a daily impact on our lives.
The World Climate Research Programme's Open Science Conference brings together more than 1,400 experts to ensure that advances in climate science can keep pace with the pace of climate change and support a move towards a more sustainable future for the planet.
Some GERICS scientists will also be present on site and online. GERICS Director Prof. Daniela Jacob will participate in a hybrid panel entitled "Climate knowledge co-production in a decision and policy context" on 26 October 2023 (14:00-15:30 local time).
