Climate change has increasingly tangible and diverse implications for human health. This is especially true for the urban environment, where the consequences of global warming are particularly evident. Therefore, in addition to the urgent reduction of harmful greenhouse gas emissions, it is also necessary to develop and implement adaptation concepts in this field. On the occasion of the first-ever thematic focus on "climate change and health" at a world climate conference, GERICS researcher Dr Peter Hoffmann spoke to Christian Mihatsch, a journalist from the Helmholtz Climate Initiative, who is accompanying COP 28 on site.
