Jörg works at the Climate Service Centre Germany since 2013. His main fields of work are market research and adaptation to climate change in urban areas.
The EU projects MARCO and EU-MACS aim at increasing our understanding of market structures, barriers in development and use of climate services and innovations to overcome the barriers. The focus in further projects – UseUClim and LIFE Local Adapt – is on supporting cities and municipalities in their activities related to climate change adaptation.

Previously, Jörg worked as scientific assistant at the Universities of Göttingen and Hannover as well as a consultant at a well-known consultancy for the health care sector in Hamburg. Most of the activities had a strong interrelation between science and policy or political decision-making respectively. Since 2012 he is co-editor of Ökonomische Forschungsbeiträge zur Umweltpolitik, which aims at providing findings of environmental economic research to policy.
