Dr. Susanne Pfeifer gathers and prepares climate model data for climate impact research. After studying meteorology at the University of Hamburg, she completed a PhD at the Max Planck Institute for Meteorology, investigating the impact of cold clouds in the regional climate model REMO. Afterwards she worked on climate change projects in various regions of the world, for the Max Planck Insitute, the European Union, and the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research. In addition to using climate modelling for climate impact research, Susanne is particualrly interested in extreme weather events.
